Tamariki School, Woolston
This special character school holds a unique place in the education system. As New Zealand’s first ‘free school’, Tamariki School makes the school fit the child, rather than forcing the child to fit the school.
However, ideals aside, the school needed a new entrance and carpark. On the surface, the scope of work was purely practical. But the feedback we’ve received has been unexpectedly heart-warming.
Delivering a finished carpark that is even better than the school had hoped for, they tell us their new entrance has brought the wow factor, an entrance to motivate students and teachers as they kick off their school day!
Commercially Capacious
Positioned for major transport links, the commercial and industrial opportunities in Rolleston are exciting. And big! So, when we were awarded the contract to lay a 3000m2 commercial carpark, we were up for it!
The sheer size of the facility made this a complex job. However, we completed the project in two parts over two pours, and the end result is outstanding!
Inner City Carpark
When you’re working on an inner-city carpark on the corner of Manchester, Victoria and Kilmore Streets, it feels like the eyes of the world are on you! Contenting with traffic, pedestrians and parking wardens, this was a very public and multifaceted job.
However, just one parking ticket later (for a minor 20-minute misdemeanour), we’d nailed the job, not just laying another exceptional carpark, but also keeping traffic flowing, our staff safe and everyone happy, even the parking wardens!
