There’s a reason we have a reputation for excellence…and that’s because we deliver excellence! Shaping Christchurch’s commercial cityscape is just one aspect of our work, but it’s one we excel in!

Te Pākau Maru, New Brighton
It’s no secret the concept of Te Pākau Maru (the sheltering place) is under the media and political spotlight, the need for affordable living built to stand the test of time essential for future generations.
We’ve partnered with Home Construction on Te Pākau Maru, a development that comprises a mix of progressive home ownership sales and discount market rentals for working households. It’s not social housing. Instead, it aims to address the shortage of quality accommodation in New Brighton. Comprised of 63 two, three and four-bedroom homes, each property is built to 7 Homestar standard. The New Zealand Green Building Council has stated in their review of 7 and 8 Homestar houses that the annual savings for occupants is approximately $1,600 to $1,800, savings that stay in their bank account.
Onto the third stage of the development, we’re proudly contributing to a better standard of living living at Te Pākau Maru:
- Initial site clearance
- Removal of contaminated soil
- Foundations
- Earthworks
- Pathways
- Carparks
- Drainage
- Vehicle crossings
- Footpaths

End-to-End Commercial Solutions
We build to engineered design and we work with owners and developers to ensure our work is fit for purpose. At Te Pākau Maru, the work is engineered, and our General Manager, Mathew Austin, tells it as it is:
‘Like anything, it’s about having the correct base. Any surface will look good for a period of time, but if the base isn’t good, it’ll fail.’
Collaborative in the way we work with our clients, we sit down and thrash out the detail from the outset, our goal being to finish your project on time, within budget and to the highest standard. It’s why we win work with multiple government agencies, the people who dot the i’s, cross the t’s and follow the regulations!
Working with multiple schools throughout Canterbury, we also partner with Kainga Ora and Kiwi Rail.

Safety on Site
Essential for commercial work, we’re accredited members of SiteWise. In a nutshell, we complete an annual assessment on our health and safety systems, including:
- Valid Business Insurance/s
- Site Specific Safety Plans
- Accident/incident reporting and investigation
- Hazard Management
- Training
- Employee and subcontractor engagement
- Health monitoring and performance
While good policy is vital, we’re also proactive about practical safety on the job, caring for our people and the environment:
- With quality kerbing and drainage, we manage levels on site as well as the effective treatment of stormwater.
- Care is taken around contaminated soils. We run the testing, and we remove contaminated soil to accredited landfill facilities.
- We detect and work around underground surfaces such as pipework and electrical cables.
